Step-by-step guide
- Open Accounting Click Accounting in the left-hand menu. The Accounting Dashboard loads showing Total Bills and Total Invoices KPIs with comparison to the previous period.
- View all jobs Click Jobs under Accounting. The list shows every active job with its financial summary. Use the stage tabs (Fee For Service, Contract, Job On Site, etc.) to filter.
- Check P&L The P&L column shows each job's current profit or loss against budget. Red values indicate the job is over budget. Click the job name to drill into the detail.
- Toggle Show Costs / Show Claims Use the Show Costs and Show Claims toggles (top right of the jobs list) to control which financial columns are visible.
- Manage Invoices Click Invoices under Accounting to see all invoices across all jobs in one list. Filter by status, date, or job. Use this to track outstanding receivables.
- Manage Bills Click Bills under Accounting to see all supplier bills. Match bills to POs and mark as paid.
- Manage Suppliers Click Suppliers to view and edit your supplier contact list. Add new suppliers here so they are available to assign to purchase orders.
Important: The P&L figure in the Jobs list is calculated as: Contract Price + Approved Variations - Total Bills. A negative P&L means costs have exceeded the contract value.
